In this news digest, we highlight Dr. Heather Rellihan on the publication of the co-edited WGSS textbook, as well as alumna Vedia Barnett (MA '22), who was named a recipient of the Georgia Women Veteran Impact Award by the Georgia Department of Veterans Service. We also spotlight the upcoming WGSS Yulee Lecture.
For the History Making Edition, we wanted to highlight Autumn Durald Arkapaw, the cinematographer for “Sinners” as she makes history as the first woman to ever win the award! She was also the first woman of color to be nominated for this award!
