Careers in NonProfits: Advocacy and Direct Services

On April 12 at 7:10 pm, we hosted the first panel of WGSS Career Week titled "Careers in Non-Profits: Advocacy and Direct Services" featuring Amy Javaid and Sammie Moshenberg, who spoke on DC-area feminist advocacy networks and direct services. 

Amy Javaid has been President & CEO since July 2021 of A Wider Circle, a DC-area anti-poverty direct services organization. She has worked with USAID in the past.

Sammie Moshenberg is a progressive consultant who headed the Washington office of a major national Jewish women's organization, serving as lead lobbyist and organizing grassroots advocacy campaigns.
